AVICENNA - A Health Mission

At AVI Foundation, we are committed to improving healthcare access in remote and forested regions. Through our AVICENNA initiative, we have partnered with 24 villages located on the fringes of forests, where medical facilities are scarce. Our mission is to provide essential medical assistance to villagers, tribal communities, forest guards, and food patrolling teams.

In collaboration with AVICENNA, AVI Foundation has undertaken a significant responsibility by supporting the medical well-being of Elephant's charra cutters and Mahuwats at Pench National Park, Madhya Pradesh. Quarterly, we extend comprehensive medical care to these dedicated officers and forest department staff, along with their families.

Our efforts encompass a range of services, including free medical checkups and the provision of vital medicines such as iron, calcium, antibiotics, ear drops, eye drops, anti-fungal creams, anthelminthic treatments, and essential vaccinations like Tetanus toxoid, Hepatitis, Jaundice, and Typhoid.

In instances requiring surgical intervention, we ensure seamless support by facilitating patient transfers to advanced care centers. Following treatment, we ensure their safe return to their original locations, promoting holistic health and well-being.
