Submission Guidelines

To submit your manuscript for consideration of Volume II Issue 1 of the AVI's Legal Research Journal | ALRJ, please follow these guidelines:

  1. Types of Contributions: Authors are welcome to contribute to ALRJ in the format of an Article only.

  2. Word Count: Articles should fall within the range of 1500 - 3000 words, including footnotes.

  3. Abstract: All submissions must include a concise abstract of no more than 300 words and 3-5 keywords. This abstract should outline the main idea, the article's objectives, and its key conclusions.

  4. Co-Authorship: Each submission is limited to a maximum of three authors.

  5. Formatting: Manuscripts should be formatted on A4-sized paper, using Times New Roman font size 12, with 1.5 line spacing, justified alignment, and 1-inch margins on all sides. Footnotes should use Times New Roman font size 10 and be single-spaced.

  6. Citation Style: Authors are required to adhere to the Bluebook (20th edition) Uniform System of Citation.

  7. Anonymity: Submissions should not contain any identification of the author(s). Such identification will result in the rejection of the submission. Author details, including contact information, designation, institutional affiliation, and address, should be provided in the covering letter accompanying the submission.

  8. Originality: Submissions must be the original work of the authors. Any form of plagiarism will lead to the immediate rejection of the submission.

  9. Acknowledgment: Properly acknowledge all relevant sources as footnotes. The Editorial Board's decision in this regard will be final.

  10. AI Content Policy: It is essential to note that submissions should not contain any AI-generated or AI-assisted content. Manuscripts found in violation of this policy will be rejected.

Submission Procedure

Authors are kindly requested to follow these steps for submitting their manuscripts:

  1. Prepare your manuscript in electronic format in either .doc or .docx format.

  2. Send your manuscript via email to journal.alrj@avifoundations.com.

  3. In the subject line of your email, please use the following format: "Submission - [Name of Author] - Volume II Issue 1".

  4. When naming your document file, please adhere to this format: "[Name of Author(s)] - [Title of Submission]".

  5. Along with your manuscript, please include a covering letter in the body of the email. This covering letter should provide the following information:

  • Contact details of the author(s).

  • Designation(s) of the author(s).

  • Institutional affiliation(s) of the author(s).

  • Author(s) address.

Once you have completed these steps, your submission will be under review by our editorial board.

Editorial Policy

  1. Blind Review Procedure: Manuscripts submitted to ALRJ undergo a meticulous three-stage Blind Review Procedure. Reviewers are not provided with any information about the author's identity, including name, university, year in college, or personal details.

  2. Preliminary Review: In the first stage, the editorial board conducts a preliminary assessment of the manuscript to evaluate its relevance and contemporariness. Additionally, the manuscript undergoes scrutiny by Copy Editors for plagiarism, grammar, and formatting.

  3. Associate Editors Evaluation: The second stage involves the evaluation of manuscripts shortlisted in the first stage by Associate Editors. They assess manuscripts based on eight key factors: content quality, originality, relevance, contemporariness, structural coherence, clarity, language proficiency, and proper citation of footnotes and references.

  4. Content Editors Review: In the third stage, manuscripts shortlisted in the second stage undergo comprehensive and detailed review by Content Editors, focusing on quality and accuracy. Authors may receive suggestions and recommendations for incorporation or consideration at this stage. Authors are encouraged to collaborate with the editorial board to address these suggestions.

  5. Conditional Acceptance: Authors are informed of the conditional acceptance of their manuscripts only after the third stage. Acceptance is contingent upon the satisfaction of the editorial board with the incorporation or consideration of suggestions and recommendations.

The editorial board reserves the right to reject a manuscript until the final acceptance is communicated to the authors.

Open Access Policy

All research articles published in AVI's Legal Research Journal | ALRJ are fully open access, which means they are immediately and freely available for reading, downloading, and sharing by all interested parties. These articles are published under the terms of a Creative Commons license, which allows for the use, distribution, and reproduction of the content in any medium, provided that proper attribution to the original work is given.

The author(s) and copyright holder(s) grant to all users a free, irrevocable, worldwide, perpetual right of access to the published content and a license to:

  • Copy, use, and distribute the work.

  • Transmit and display the work publicly.

  • Create and distribute derivative works based on the original content.

These rights apply to all digital media and are granted for responsible and ethical purposes. Proper attribution of authorship is required when using or sharing the content, and users also have the right to produce small numbers of printed copies for personal use.

Publication Policy

  1. Avoiding Unfounded Allegations: Manuscripts submitted to ALRJ should refrain from making unfounded or unproven allegations against any individual or entity.

  2. Defamatory Content: Content containing defamatory language or statements is not permissible for publication in ALRJ.

  3. Avoiding Newspaper-Based Accusations: Manuscripts should not base accusations solely on newspaper reports or unverified sources.

  4. Plagiarism Policy: ALRJ upholds a strict no-plagiarism policy. Manuscripts may undergo plagiarism checks, and any form of plagiarism will result in disqualification.

  5. Author Liability: Authors are solely responsible for any legal liabilities arising from copyright infringement or any other rights violation.

  6. Exclusive Publication Rights: Content submitted to ALRJ should be exclusive to our journal. ALRJ reserves the right to republish the work without prior consent from the author(s).

  7. Avoiding Bias: Manuscripts should avoid displaying religious or political biases in their content.

  8. Opinion vs. Fact: Any opinions presented in the manuscripts must be clearly distinguished as opinions and not presented as facts.

  9. Academic Tone: Submissions should maintain an academic and scholarly approach, avoiding polemical or confrontational tones.

  10. Hate Speech and Stereotypes: ALRJ will not publish content that includes hate language, such as racist, sexist, anti-Semitic, or homophobic speech. This includes the use of stereotypes and the denial of historical events.

Ethics Statement

Authors submitting their work to ALRJ are expected to adhere to the following international standards:

  1. Original Work: Authors must confirm that their manuscripts represent their own original work.

  2. Avoiding Unethical Practices: Plagiarism, duplicate publications, data fabrication and falsification, and redundant publication are strictly prohibited.

  3. Publication Exclusivity: Authors must ensure that their manuscript has not been previously published elsewhere and is not under consideration for publication elsewhere.

  4. Proper Attribution: If authors have drawn upon the work or words of others, they are obligated to appropriately cite or quote these sources. Additionally, all sources used in the preparation of their manuscripts should be clearly identified.

  5. Correcting Errors: In the event that an author identifies a significant error or inaccuracy in their own published work, it is their responsibility to promptly inform the Journal editor or publisher. Authors should collaborate with the editor in the process of either retracting or correcting the paper.

Publication Fee

In order to sustain the high-quality publishing services we offer, authors are kindly requested to contribute a one-time manuscript processing fee upon acceptance of their manuscript(s) following the peer-review process.

Unlike traditional journals that rely on reader-paid models with institutional libraries covering access costs, ALRJ is committed to full open access publishing. This dedication ensures that all articles published in our journal are freely accessible to both the scholarly community and the general public, without subscription fees for access to printed or online copies.

To uphold this open access commitment and to support essential editorial activities, as well as to cover expenses related to website maintenance, hosting, domain management, and other services such, we charge a nominal one-time processing fee for each submission. This fee contributes to maintaining the overall quality of the journal and ensures a seamless and enriched experience for our valued authors.

Co-Authored (2): INR 1,000/-

Co- Authored (3): INR 1,200/-
